New Tribes is a "faith mission." As such, the mission does not pay any of its "employees." Each missionary is responsible to raise his/her own financial support. We are supported by individuals and churches who have a desire to partner with us in our ministry.

Though New Tribes Mission does not require any specific amount of monthly support before it sends missionaries overseas, it does set some recommendations. In 2009 the Sheffields received, on the average, about 46% of what the mission recommends. NTM recommendations for the country of Guinea are available here.

Jim and Carol also have some one time equipment needs. At present they are looking to buy a motorcycle, an intercom phone system, and video lights and microphone equipment for their multi-media ministry.

If you wish to make a one-time donation to the Sheffields or support them on a regular basis you may give online or you may write a check and send it to the following address.

Either way you will receive a tax deductible receipt from New Tribes Mission. And giving to New Tribes Mission will never result in telemarketers calling you to ask for more donations.

If you send a check, please make it payable to New Tribes Mission and write "for the ministry of Jim and Carol Sheffield" on the memo line. It would be good to include a note as well stating that your donation is for the ministry of Jim and Carol Sheffield.

Whether you give online or send a check you may also include a designation for your gift if you wish—such as "for a motorcycle," "for multi-media equipment," etc. We will make every effort to use your money according to your wishes.

If you'd like more information you may e-mail the Sheffields or the NTM finance office or you may write to us at one of these addresses.
