Jim, son of NTM missionaries, grew up in Panama, the USA, and Liberia, West Africa. Jim is a graduate of New Tribes Bible Institute and a member of East Troy Bible Church of East Troy, Wisconsin.
Carol was raised in Wisconsin. She is a graduate of UW - Eau Claire and a member of Hill Point Church of River Hills, a suburb of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Jim and Carol met at a Christian camp where they both worked on staff during
the summer of 1988. In 1990 they were married and
entered missionary training with
New Tribes Mission where they received 2½ years
of intense missions preparation.
Jim and Carol have five children. Erin graduated from high school in 2009 and is presently attending New Tribes Bible Institute. Her intention is to become a missionary. Becca is a junior in high school. She is an avid reader and loves art and painting. She devotes much of her free time to Facebook. Nathan is in sixth grade. He likes math especially well. Nathan is an active boy who loves soccer and the great outdoors. Amy is in fourth grade and just loves school. She says she wants to be a teacher, which would allow her to spend the rest of her life where she loves most to be. Daniel is in first grade this year. At six years of age he continues to be an affectionate little fellow who always has a hug for everyone.
